Because it is the children’s safety that is at stake, one regulation that almost every state in the country is a background check on every employee, criminal and in some states, driving records are required.
Most daycares provide a yard for their children, and virtually all states regulate that the yard must be fenced in. Also, the playground equipment must meet state requirements or the license will not be approved.
It is important that you understand that daycare centers are not being targeted by licensing agencies; when it comes to the safety of children, they will not bend the rules and if they are not followed to the letter, then the daycare center will be fined and possibly shut down.
Children are vulnerable to many different dangers in the world today, some more dangerous than others, attending a daycare center should not be one of them, and this is why the regulations for daycare centers are so rigid.
