Daycare Marketing Plan

If you have decided that you want a daycare and you have already done all the work in terms of licensing, insuring and getting the space set up, after setting up a daycare marketing plan, all you need to do is add the kids!

Getting customers can be problematic for a new daycare, and when you are getting started as a business, you will find yourself wanting to look a bit beyond your neighbors.

There are plenty of great marketing techniques that you can employ, even as a small business starting out, so take a look around and don't let yourself be ignored!

There is a good chance that you are already familiar with the internet, but if you aren't, you should get familiar and fast!

There are plenty of sites out there that will let you advertise your services, and what's more, advertising is often free!

If you're following a daycare marketing plan and you want to reach young parents, especially, make sure you don't miss out when it comes to posting your ad on sites like Craigslist and Livejournal.  Both of these are community-oriented sites that allow people to search for things in their area.

Make sure that people can always get in touch with you.

It is fairly inexpensive to have a set of business cards printed up, and you can hand those out whenever you like.

You can also leave them up on community bulletin boards, and you'll find that people pass them around on their own as well.

Don't underestimate the power of word of mouth either.

If you already have some satisfied customers, ask them to pass the word around to their friends, and mention how much better wider social interaction under your supervision would be for their child.

Get to know the parents.  If you have children who are school-age themselves, join organizations like the PTA.

This is a great way to make some contacts and to let everyone know that you are a part of the community.

Most of your business will likely be coming from people who are from the area, and if you can show them that you are concerned about their children in more ways than one, you will find your efforts amply repaid.

Taking out an ad in a local newspaper, if you can afford it, is a great way to advertise.

You'll get responses from people who would never have heard of you otherwise, and you'll also find that you present a more professional front this way.

Don't let your ad be seen as amateurish; if you don't have any graphic design experience, talk to a friend that does or hire someone.

This is probably the only impression you will make on some people, so make sure it's a good one.

If you are looking to expand your daycare with a daycare marketing plan, you'll need clients, so when you are ready, put some work into getting people's attention; it's easier than you might think, and you'll be surprised at how fast your business can grow.
