Cost Of Daycare...In today's economy, it is often necessary for both parents to work in order to sustain a household. However, this creates a problem if there are children in the home because daycare is needed. Finding good daycare is difficult, finding affordable daycare is almost impossible. Daycare costs are rising all the time. The costs are so outrageous now a days, and if you have more than one child that requires daycare, then you may reconsider going back to work to begin with. Although some Daycare costs are calculated according to the size of your family and your income, many of them will only give a discount on multiple siblings. And even then, it is not a great savings. Daycare costs are ridiculous and some find that going back to work actually costs more money then they are making. Low Income Families... For low income families, there is assistance available for children up to the age of thirteen. However in most instances the payment is in accordance with the child’s age and as the child gets older, payment assistance decreases and the parent is left with the remainder of the costs.This can prove to be too much for single parent families and they are left without daycare. Daycare providers argue that providing Daycare is a tough, demanding job and good providers deserve to be paid well for this important work. This is not in dispute, everyone would agree that a room full of two year olds can be taxing, however the parents should not be penalized for it. Many daycares now require that certified teachers be in daycare classrooms, and because of this, many people believe that Daycare should now come under the education system. By doing this, cost of daycare could be cut in half, and our children would have the opportunity to benefit from the educational system at a much earlier age. |
